About Beth Alvarado
Beth Alvarado is the author of Not a Matter of Love (New Rivers Press, 2006), winner of the Many Voices Project Award. Her short stories and essays have appeared or are forthcoming in such journals as Third Coast,The Seattle Review, Cimarron Review, Thin Air, Ploughshares, Cue: A Journal of Prose Poetry, spork, Northwest Review, and Calyx.
 
In Need of a Heart, a screenplay she co-wrote with her son, Michael Alvarado, is based on "Limbo," one of the short stories in Not a Matter of Love, and is in pre-production with Upstairs Film in Los Angeles.
